The Hornets traveled to Marietta to take on the second-ranked Walton Raiders in a showdown of Region 4 title contenders. The Raiders jumped out to an early lead but the Hornets fought back behind a balanced offense, strong red-zone defense, and tremendous special teams play to earn the win. With 1:21 left in the fourth quarter the Hornets were successful on a two-point conversion to take a 32-31 lead. On the ensuing possession the Raiders drove into Roswell territory but the Hornets blocked the last second field goal attempt to preserve the win.
